Terms & Conditions
The rules and responsibilities that apply when using Blu as a customer or worker.
Platform Terms
Blu LegalEffective date: 22 August 2026
These terms govern access to the Blu website and the Blu customer and provider applications operated by Blu Innovations (Private) Limited. By creating an account, making a booking, accepting a job or otherwise using Blu, you agree to these terms and the policies linked from this page.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate information, keep login credentials secure and promptly update changes. Providers must satisfy Blu’s onboarding and verification requirements and maintain the skills, licences, equipment and insurance reasonably required for their services. Blu may suspend access where safety, fraud, payment or policy concerns arise.
Blu’s role
Blu provides technology, support, payment collection and marketplace services that connect customers with service providers. The provider is responsible for performing the booked service with reasonable skill, care and professionalism. Nothing in these terms creates employment, partnership or agency between Blu and an independent provider unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Bookings and service delivery
Customers must provide accurate requirements, address and access details. Providers must attend agreed bookings, communicate material delays and avoid changing the scope or price without the customer’s agreement. A booking may be declined, rescheduled or cancelled according to the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Prices and customer payments
Prices, taxes, fees and discounts shown before payment form the booking total unless both parties approve additional work through Blu. Where available, customers may either pay cash directly to the provider after the service or pay online through PayHere. Online payments are collected into Blu’s merchant account through the payment processor. Payment is not confirmed merely because a customer returns to the app; Blu relies on the processor’s verified server confirmation.
Cash paid directly to a provider is the provider’s responsibility to acknowledge. An online payment is not paid directly to the provider and may be subject to settlement, refund, dispute and chargeback processing.
Provider earnings and withdrawals
For eligible online-paid bookings, Blu records the provider’s earnings after deducting the applicable platform commission, refunds, reversals and agreed fees. Earnings may remain pending until the booking is completed, payment is settled and any stated holding period expires. “Available Earnings” is an accounting record of amounts Blu expects to pay the provider; it is not a bank account, deposit account or general-purpose stored-value wallet.
Providers may request withdrawal to a verified bank account, subject to minimum and maximum limits, identity checks, fraud review and available balance. Blu may delay, reject or reverse a payout where the related payment is disputed, refunded, charged back, duplicated or unlawful. Cash received directly from a customer is not credited as money held by Blu.
Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Cancellation charges and refund eligibility are described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Users should contact Blu before initiating a payment dispute so we can investigate the booking. This does not remove any non-waivable rights available under applicable law.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse another person’s identity, arrange fraudulent bookings, evade agreed platform charges, harass users, upload unlawful material, interfere with Blu’s systems, scrape the platform without permission or use Blu to facilitate unsafe or illegal services.
Reviews and content
Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. You grant Blu permission to host and display content you submit for operating and promoting the platform, while you retain ownership of that content. Blu may remove content that is misleading, abusive, unlawful or unrelated to a genuine booking.
Liability and availability
Blu works to keep the platform reliable and safe but does not promise uninterrupted availability or that every provider or customer will meet expectations. To the extent permitted by law, Blu is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. We may update them by publishing a revised effective date. Questions can be sent to support@blu.lk, by phone at +94 777 934 540, or by post to Sri Lanka.
